When Restrictions Are Lifted

Below you'll find the words of Psalm 91, a pertinent prayer considering all that is going on in the world and our country with the coronavirus. I pray these words to bring you comfort no matter what things are in your life right now causing you to fear.

When it comes to the concerns and warnings raised by health officials about the coronavirus, let's stay out of the ditches on either side. One ditch is to do nothing and just say, "God will take care of me. It's fine!" Remember that one of Satan's temptations of Jesus had to do with that very same thing. He used the verses of Psalm 91 to tempt Jesus to put himself in harm's way by jumping off the Temple because God says he will send his angels and nothing will harm you! Jesus told Satan to get lost with the words, "Don't put God to the test." Might we take the very same approach when it comes to this virus? Do the precautions. Listen to the warnings. Let's not put God to the test. (more)
