We'll help them dig up, prep, and plant their 5 raised bed gardens. The gardens are about 3-4 ft off the ground so you won't need to be on your knees. They will provide hand trowels and rakes, but if you have those tools you're welcome to bring them. You'll also need a pair of gardening gloves if you'd like to use them as they don't have any. They'll provide the plants so we will just work up the soil and get those plants in the ground. We'll meet at Hope House at 9:00 am, have a little tour of their brand new building, and then get to work. If you're able to give a couple of hours that morning I know they would greatly appreciate it. Their gardens are used by their Early Childhood students for learning purposes. This is a GREAT opportunity for teens, especially if they need to earn service hours for school.
